The Christian & Missionary Alliance Mission Statement

Our mission is to know Jesus Christ; exalt Him as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King; and complete His Great Commission:

  • Evangelizing and discipling persons throughout the United States, and

  • Incorporating them into Christ-centered, community-focused congregations,

  • Mobilizing them for active involvement in a missionary effort designed to plant Great Commission churches among both unreached and responsive peoples worldwide.

The Haverhill Alliance Church Mission Statement
& Core Values

To Reach And Build People For The Kingdom Of God

  1. We believe our worship is demonstrated in our total allegiance to God.
We will seek to exalt, honor and obey God above all.

You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)

To obey is better than sacrifice. (I Samuel 15:22)

  2. We believe we should engage in earnest and constant prayer.
We will seek to demonstrate a total reliance on God through His Spirit for the advancement of His Kingdom.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. (Philippians 4:6)

    Pray continually. (I Thessalonians 5:17)

  3. We believe in biblical preaching and teaching.
We will share the truth of the Bible with compassion and grace.

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

  4. We believe we must cultivate biblical community in our congregation.
We will do our part to connect people to Jesus Christ and care for all people in the name of Christ.

My prayer is . . . that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you sent me.
    (John 17:20-21)

  5. We believe in biblical discipleship that leads to the formation of the image of Jesus Christ in His disciples.
We will call Christians to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God.

Make disciples . . . teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
    (Matthew 28:19-20)

  6. We believe every member is a minister who has been given gifts for service in the body of Christ.
We will discover, develop and deploy our individual gifts to serve and strengthen the church.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.
    (I Corinthians 12:7)

  7. We believe we must strengthen marriages and families.
We will develop a healthy church through the development of healthy homes.

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up . . . Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.  (Deuteronomy 6:4-9)

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her . . . (Ephesians 5:25)

  8. We believe the fullness of Jesus (as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King) compels us to holistically care for all people.
We will seek healing of the whole person (body, soul and spirit) in tangible and intangible ways.

He is before all things, an in him all things hold together . . . for God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him . . . (Colossians 1:17,19)

I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for the least of these, you did not do for me(Matthew 25:45)

  9. We believe in a multi-cultural, inclusive approach to ministry.
We will seek to become a church of greater diversity which better reflects the ethnicity and special needs of those in our community.

But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind.
    (Luke 14:31)

Before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.
    (Revelation 7:9)

  10. We believe every believer must engage in personal evangelism.
We will share Jesus Christ with family, friends and strangers.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
    (Proverbs 11:30)

  11. We believe we as a local church must engage in worldwide missions.
We will promote, support and go to all nations with the gospel.

Go make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19)
